Welcome to the Wonka Sound Recording Studio website. Wonka Sound is a Pro Tools HD 3 facility that is designed to be as comfortable as it is professional. Whether you are looking to record, mix, or master rock, pop, hip-hop, folk, commercial, or voiceover work, you will find a warm and relaxing environment to get your project completed with ease. A brief history... Wonka Sound began quite a few years back with the purchase of a 4-track cassette recorder. Wow - four tracks! At the time it seemed amazing anyway. I could actually record my band and then rewind the tape to re-record and fix mistakes! We definitely needed it. Life was good, and the possibilities seemed endless until... I upgraded to an 8-track recorder. Even better! The Beatles never even had more than that! That poor machine got a ton of use and it was around this time that I really began to take my hobby seriously by recording other local musicians. After high school, I attended Berklee College of Music (graduating in 1994 with a degree in Music Production and Engineering) and decided look for an official studio job. However, after interning at a number of Boston based facilities, I eventually got frustrated with the lack of hands on experience they provided. And although the experience was invaluable, I decided I needed to start my own commercial studio, which over the course of a few major overhauls has become Wonka Sound as it exists today. I love what I do, and I take a lot of pride in my work.
