A brief history: Wonka Sound really began around 1989 with the purchase of a 4-track TASCAM cassette recorder.  Four tracks! At the time it seemed amazing. I could actually record my music onto cassette tapes, add tracks. and re-record and fix mistakes! Life was good, and the possibilities seemed endless until... I obtained a TASCAM 688 8-track recorder. The Beatles never even had more than that! That poor machine got a ton of (ab)use and it was around this time that I really began to take my hobby seriously. After completing High School, I decided to officially pursue a career in music, and four years later graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Production and Engineering. Upon entering the workforce, I initially interned at a number of Boston based facilities hoping to climb the proverbial ladder, but I eventually became frustrated with the lack of hands on work that I knew I was capable of.  Although I appreciated those opportunities, I really felt I needed be more creative on my own and eventually started my own commercial studio, which over the course of a few major overhauls became Wonka Sound. I love what I do, and I take a lot of pride in my work. If you are a musician, songwriter, or artist of any genre who is looking to work in a productive, yet super-relaxing environment, please get in touch to see what I can do for you.

Thanks,

Bob Nash
